Holiday Margaritas

If you’re a tequila lover like me, switch up your go-to marg this season with these fun and festive cocktails!

Get your ho, ho, ho on with 2 holiday margaritas that will probably put you on Santa’s Naughty List πŸ˜‰

White Christmas Margarita

Makes 6 servings

Total Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

1 (14 oz.) can unsweetened coconut milk

12 oz. silver tequila

8 oz. triple sec

1/4 c. lime juice

4 c. ice

Lime wedges

Sanding Sugar, for rimming glass

Cranberries, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Combine coconut milk, tequila, triple sec, lime juice and ice in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Rim glasses with lime wedge and roll in sanding sugar. Pour the cocktail into glass and garnish with lime and cranberries.

Apple Cider Margaritas

Makes 2 Margaritas

Total time: 1 hr. 15 mins (don’t let this scare you!)

Ingredients:

Cinnamon Simple Syrup

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cinnamon stick

Apple Cider Margarita

3 oz. apple cider (or apple juice)

2 oz. tequila of choice

1 oz. brandy

1 oz. lemon juice (or lime juice)

1/2 oz. of the cinnamon simple syrup

Cinnamon sugar for garnish

Apple slices for garnish

Star Anise for garnish

Rosemary sprigs for garnish

Cinnamon sticks for garnish

Directions:

Make the cinnamon simple syrup (or buy some to save some time)

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water
  2. Whisk until dissolved completely
  3. Remove from heat and transfer syrup to a glass container (ex: mason jar)
  4. Add cinnamon stick to syrup
  5. Cover the jar and allow syrup to cool completely before using

Final Margaritas

  1. Combine all margarita ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice
  2. Shake until cold
  3. Strain into prepared glasses and garnish before serving

Both of these drinks can be prepared in a large batch and shaken over ice just before serving
